EM Normandie Achievement Scholarship

EM Normandie is a French business school with campuses in Caen, Le Havre, Rouen, Paris, Oxford and Dublin, and it runs one of the more sensibly designed scholarship schemes in French management education. The Achievement Scholarship gives a 10 per cent reduction on tuition for every year of study, not just the first — which over a three-year bachelor's or a two-year Master's compounds into a much larger saving than a bigger one-off discount would. It is available to non-French students on the Bachelor in Management, the International Business Bachelor's (IBBA), the Master in Management or any of the MSc programmes, and the school states that these scholarships can be cumulative, so it is worth asking which other awards you might stack it with. Selection is based on academic history, professional achievements and interview results, so a Sri Lankan applicant with a solid degree plus real work experience — even a couple of years in a bank, an apparel exporter or an IT firm — has a genuinely strong case to make. Exchange-programme students are excluded, and the school notes that amounts and conditions can vary by country of origin, so confirm what applies to a Sri Lankan applicant in writing before you plan your budget around the full 10 per cent across all years.

How you are considered

Through your admission application. Awards like this are usually assessed automatically from the application you already submit — there is typically no separate scholarship form to fill in.

What it covers

10% Tuition Reduction for Every Year of Study. This is a reduction in tuition, not a full ride. You still fund the remainder, plus living costs and the balance your visa requires you to show.

Where we come in

We make the admission application strong enough to be competitive — course choice, documents, references and deadlines. The funder makes the decision.

Eligible Programmes

Applicants to the Bachelor in Management, the International Business Bachelor's (IBBA), the Master in Management, or one of the MSc programmes can apply. Exchange-programme students are not eligible.

Academic Record and Professional Achievements

Selection weighs your academic history, professional achievements and interview performance. Sri Lankan applicants with two or more years of relevant work experience should foreground it — it is explicitly part of the assessment.

Interview Forms Part of Selection

The admission interview feeds directly into the scholarship decision. Prepare specific examples of results you delivered rather than general career ambitions.

English Proficiency

EM Normandie's English-taught programmes typically ask for IELTS around 6.0–6.5 or an accepted equivalent. Sri Lankan applicants from an English-medium degree should check with admissions whether an MOI letter is accepted in place of a test.

account_tree Application Process

1

Apply for admission to an eligible programme

Submit your EM Normandie application with attested transcripts, degree or A/L certificates, CV, work references, passport copy and English evidence.

2

Request scholarship consideration

Indicate your interest in the Achievement Scholarship as part of the application. There is no separate competition cycle — it is assessed with your admission.

3

Interview and decision

Your interview and file are assessed together. Successful candidates receive a 10 per cent reduction applied across every year of the programme.

4

Campus France, then the French student visa

Sri Lankan students complete the Campus France Études en France procedure before applying for the long-stay student visa (VLS-TS), showing your acceptance, the scholarship letter, and proof of the required monthly living funds.

Why EM Normandie Business School?
