Free for students
Our help is 100% free. Universities pay us, not you.
Many families ask us what the catch is. There isn't one. When you enrol at a university we've helped you apply to, that university pays us a commission. That's how we earn, so you never pay Lanka Scholar anything, at any stage.
Consultations are in person only, at any of our three offices · What to expect

- block A registration, file-opening or "processing" fee
- block A fee to "guarantee" admission or a visa (nobody can guarantee either)

Questions families ask
Is Lanka Scholar really free for students? expand_more
Yes, completely. We charge students nothing at any stage, from the first office visit to your visa. You will never receive an invoice from Lanka Scholar.
How does Lanka Scholar make money? expand_more
Universities pay us a referral commission when a student we have helped enrols with them. That is our entire business model, and it is the standard way education agents are paid worldwide. The commission comes out of the university's own recruitment budget; it is not added to your tuition.
Will I pay higher tuition because I came through an agent? expand_more
No. You pay the university's published tuition fee, the same as a student who applies directly. The university pays our commission separately.
Does the commission affect which universities you recommend? expand_more
We shortlist by fit first: your results, budget, career goal and visa chances. If a university we don't work with is the better fit, we tell you, and we will still help with your application and visa even though we earn nothing from that placement.
What if I visit and decide not to go ahead? expand_more
That is completely fine and costs you nothing. There is no obligation to apply through us after your visit.
Someone asked me to pay a fee to process my application. Is that you? expand_more
No. Lanka Scholar never asks students for a registration or processing fee, never asks for cash, and never collects tuition on a university's behalf. If anyone asks for money in our name, do not pay; contact our office directly.
