Eligibility
International (non-EU/EEA) applicant admitted to a full-time programme at any Irish higher education institution; competitive, ~60 awards per year.
Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland (formerly the Irish Research Council)
Eligibility
Open to applicants of all nationalities, including Sri Lankan citizens, for a research master's or PhD at an eligible Irish higher education institution. You must have an academic supervisor and host institution lined up before you apply. Important: the programme is not running a 2027 call.

PhD candidates at Trinity College Dublin, EU and non-EU alike, on projects proposed by a Trinity principal investigator.
Teagasc (Agriculture and Food Development Authority)
Eligibility
Research Master's/PhD students working on a specific Teagasc-supervised project at a partner Irish university in agriculture, food, animal or environmental science.

Eligibility
Exceptional self-funded non-EU applicants to full-time, on-campus undergraduate or taught postgraduate programmes at SETU; recipients may not hold any other scholarship.

Academically strong non-EU undergraduate and postgraduate applicants to Griffith College. Limited places; renewal requires an H2.1 average and 80% attendance.
RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences
Eligibility
Health sciences and biomedical researchers worldwide applying to RCSI's structured StAR PhD in Dublin, with time split between Ireland and a partner institution abroad.
