Admission to U of T Undergraduate
You must be admitted to a U of T undergraduate programme (St. George, Mississauga, or Scarborough campus). Selection is highly competitive — many programmes admit fewer than 20% of applicants.
Outstanding A/L Record
Sri Lankan applicants typically need 3 A grades at A-Level for the most competitive programmes (Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Rotman Commerce). Strong AAB profiles may qualify for less competitive faculties.
International Fee Status
Open to international students paying overseas fees. Sri Lankan citizens applying from Sri Lanka qualify; Canadian citizens and permanent residents do not.
English Proficiency
Meet U of T's English language requirement — typically IELTS 6.5+ (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 100+. Waivers available for students from English-medium curricula.

Submit your U of T application via the OUAC 105 portal by the relevant faculty deadline (typically mid-January for most programmes).
Submit Supplementary Applications
Several U of T faculties (Rotman Commerce, Engineering, Music, Computer Science) require supplementary applications — these are also reviewed for the Scholar Awards.
Automatic Consideration
All international undergraduate admits are automatically reviewed for the Scholar Awards. There is no separate scholarship form. Awards are communicated alongside the offer letter.
Accept and Maintain Standing
Accept your U of T offer and confirm enrolment by the published deadline. The discount is applied to tuition each year, renewable up to four years subject to maintaining a strong GPA at U of T.
