account_tree Application Process

1

Apply to SUTD Undergraduate

Submit your SUTD undergraduate application via the online portal by the standard March deadline. Application includes academic transcripts, the SUTD discursive essay, and a personal statement.

2

Automatic Scholarship Consideration

All admitted international applicants are automatically considered for the International Student Scholarship — there is no separate scholarship application form.

3

Interview (Shortlisted Candidates)

Strong scholarship candidates are invited to a virtual interview with SUTD faculty, typically held in May. The interview focuses on technical curiosity, creativity, and motivation.

4

Accept and Maintain CGPA

Successful awardees receive a scholarship offer alongside admission. Renewal each year requires maintaining a strong CGPA at SUTD (typically 4.0+ on the 5.0 scale).

Why SUTD?

Singapore's youngest autonomous university (founded 2009 in collaboration with MIT) is built around a unique design-engineering pedagogy. SUTD undergraduates graduate with strong portfolios spanning engineering, design, and computing. Active maker culture and strong industry partnerships with Singapore's tech ecosystem.
