SUTD International Student Scholarship
The SUTD International Student Scholarship is a comprehensive award for top international applicants to Singapore University of Technology and Design's undergraduate programmes in Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD), Engineering Product Development (EPD), Engineering Systems and Design (ESD), and Information Systems Technology and Design (ISTD). The scholarship covers full tuition after MOE subsidies plus a SGD 6,500 annual living allowance. Sri Lankan applicants with strong A/Ls and design/maker portfolios are well-suited.

Admission to SUTD Undergraduate
You must be admitted to one of SUTD's four undergraduate pillars (ASD, EPD, ESD, ISTD). SUTD admissions include a discursive essay and (for shortlisted candidates) a virtual interview.
Strong A/L Record
Sri Lankan applicants typically need 3 A grades at A-Level, particularly strong in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Computer Science. SUTD also values demonstrated creativity, design portfolios, or maker projects.
International Citizenship
Open to international applicants (non-Singaporean, non-Singapore Permanent Resident). Sri Lankan citizens applying from Sri Lanka are eligible.
English Proficiency
Meet SUTD's English language requirement — typically IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL iBT 90+. Most Sri Lankan A/L English-medium applicants qualify automatically.

Apply to SUTD Undergraduate
Submit your SUTD undergraduate application via the online portal by the standard March deadline. Application includes academic transcripts, the SUTD discursive essay, and a personal statement.
Automatic Scholarship Consideration
All admitted international applicants are automatically considered for the International Student Scholarship — there is no separate scholarship application form.
Interview (Shortlisted Candidates)
Strong scholarship candidates are invited to a virtual interview with SUTD faculty, typically held in May. The interview focuses on technical curiosity, creativity, and motivation.
Accept and Maintain CGPA
Successful awardees receive a scholarship offer alongside admission. Renewal each year requires maintaining a strong CGPA at SUTD (typically 4.0+ on the 5.0 scale).
