SKKU International Student Scholarship

Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) — one of Korea's top private universities, backed by the Samsung Foundation — offers a tiered International Student Scholarship that waives 30% to 100% of tuition fees based on admission academic profile. Awards renew each semester subject to maintaining a minimum GPA. Sri Lankan A/L applicants with strong results (3 A grades or strong B-mix) are competitive for at least the 30-50% tier; outstanding profiles (3 As + SAT 1450+) target full-tuition waivers. SKKU is consistently ranked top 100 globally with particular strength in Business, Engineering, and Natural Sciences.

Maintain Minimum GPA

Each scholarship tier specifies a minimum CGPA to renew (typically 3.0-3.5 out of 4.5). Fall below and the scholarship drops to the next-lower tier (or lapses for the 100% award).

Why SKKU?

Founded in 1398 as a Confucian academy and revived as a modern university backed by the Samsung Foundation, SKKU is one of Korea's most internationally-oriented universities. Two campuses — Humanities/Social Sciences in central Seoul, Natural Sciences/Engineering in Suwon — both within easy reach of Seoul's tech and finance hubs.
