SMU International Scholarship
The SMU International Scholarship is Singapore Management University's flagship merit award for incoming international undergraduates. It covers full tuition (after the Singapore Tuition Grant subsidy), a living allowance of SGD 5,000 per year, and a one-time settling-in allowance. Around 15-20 awards are made annually across SMU's six schools (Business, Economics, Law, Information Systems, Social Sciences, and Accountancy). International Applicant
Open to international citizens applying directly for SMU's August 2026 intake. The Singapore Tuition Grant is required (3-year work commitment in Singapore after graduation) before this scholarship's tuition coverage applies.

Submit your UG application via apply.smu.edu.sg. International applicants need to complete the SMU Personal Insight Questions in the application and signal scholarship interest within the form.
Scholarship shortlist
SMU's Admissions Office shortlists candidates for scholarship interview based on academic results, leadership profile, and application essays. Shortlists are issued in March-April.
Scholarship interview
Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by an SMU panel — virtual or in-person at the British Council in Colombo. Topics include reasoning questions, leadership stories, and motivation for Singapore.
Award + acceptance
Award decisions are released in late May or early June. Successful candidates have approximately 4 weeks to accept the scholarship and confirm their UG enrolment.
