PSB Academy Merit Scholarship

PSB Academy is one of Singapore's larger private education institutions and delivers degrees awarded by overseas partner universities — including Australian, UK and other international partners — alongside its own diplomas, across business, engineering, computing, life sciences and allied health. Its merit scholarships and bursaries reduce tuition for international students. Two things need saying plainly. First, the awarding body is the partner university, not PSB Academy, so you should confirm in writing exactly which university awards your degree and how that award is recognised in Sri Lanka or wherever you intend to work. Second, Singapore's post-study work options for private-institution graduates are limited compared with a public university route — employment normally requires a company to sponsor an Employment Pass. Within those limits, PSB is a legitimate, EduTrust-certified route into an internationally-awarded degree at a cost well below studying in the awarding country.

Confirm the Awarding University

Ask in writing which university awards the degree, whether it is the same award as studying on that university's home campus, and how the University Grants Commission or your intended employer in Sri Lanka treats it. Do this before paying any deposit.

Understand Post-Study Limits

Graduates of private institutions in Singapore do not receive an automatic post-study work permit; staying to work requires an employer-sponsored Employment Pass. Plan on returning or moving on unless you have a concrete employment route.

English Proficiency

IELTS 5.5-6.5 depending on level and partner university, with waivers where prior study was fully in English. PSB also runs its own English pathway programmes.

account_tree Application Process

1

Verify the programme and awarding body

Confirm the awarding university, the exact degree title and the recognition position before anything else. This single step prevents the most common and most expensive mistake in private-institution study.

2

Submit the application

  • Certified O-Level or A-Level results, or diploma transcripts
  • Passport copy
  • English proficiency evidence or Medium of Instruction letter
  • Financial documentation where applying for a bursary
3

Scholarship and bursary assessment

Merit awards are assessed on academic results; bursaries additionally consider financial need. Get the award value and its duration stated in the offer letter.

4

Student's Pass

Apply through ICA's SOLAR system with the offer letter. EduTrust certification also brings fee-protection arrangements — confirm which scheme applies to your fees.

5

Budget for Singapore

Living costs run roughly SGD 1,200-1,800 a month. Student's Pass holders at private institutions generally may not work during study, so plan the full budget without assuming part-time income.

Why PSB Academy?
