Politecnico di Torino International Undergraduate Scholarship (TOPoliTO)
Politecnico di Torino is one of Italy's top technical universities, and its TOPoliTO international scholarships reward high-achieving international students entering its English-taught Bachelor's degrees in engineering. Awards typically combine a cash grant of around €8,000 per year (roughly LKR 2.76 million) with full exemption from tuition fees — a strong package for a Sri Lankan A-Level science student. Italian public-university tuition is income-assessed and already modest, so a fee exemption plus a living-cost grant makes a Turin engineering degree genuinely affordable. PoliTo is internationally respected in mechanical, automotive, aerospace, civil, and computer engineering, with deep industry links (Turin is Italy's automotive and aerospace hub). The award is renewable on academic progress. We help you target the right Bachelor and assemble a realistic LKR plan.

Admission to an English-taught Bachelor
You must apply to and be admitted to an English-taught engineering Bachelor at Politecnico di Torino for September 2026 entry. Sri Lankan applicants need strong A-Level (or equivalent) results in mathematics and physics and must pass the required admission test (TIL-I).
Merit-Based (Admission Test Ranking)
TOPoliTO awards go to top-ranked international applicants based on the admission test and academic record. The higher your ranking, the better your chance of the grant plus fee exemption.
Renewable on Progress
The grant and fee exemption continue into later years provided you earn the required credits with good grades each year. Full-time progress is essential to retain the award.
English Proficiency
Programmes are taught in English; you'll need IELTS 6.0+ or equivalent. Sri Lankan applicants from an English-medium schooling background usually qualify via MOI waiver where PoliTo accepts it.
