Deakin Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship

The Deakin Vice-Chancellor's International Scholarship is one of the most generous individual-merit awards in Australia — a full 100% tuition waiver for top applicants, or a 50% partial award for strong runners-up. The scheme runs across both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programmes. A separate scholarship application is required, with selection based on academic merit, leadership, and a personal statement.

The Trimester 1 2027 round is open — applications close 31 October 2026. Deakin runs three trimester rounds a year on a repeating schedule, so the Trimester 2 and 3 2027 rounds follow later in the cycle.

Deakin's scholarship panel reviews applications on academic merit, the personal statement, and leadership track record. Outcomes are released around 6-8 weeks after each round closes.

Maintain GPA to Renew

Renewal each year requires maintaining a strong GPA at Deakin. Failure to maintain academic standards results in the award lapsing.
