BITS Pilani Dubai Merit Scholarship

The BITS Pilani Dubai Merit Scholarship is a tiered tuition reduction (20% to 80%) for international undergraduate students based on their performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in their school-leaving exams (A-Level / Edexcel / Cambridge / CBSE / ISC). BITS Pilani is one of India's most prestigious engineering institutes — its Dubai campus delivers the same curriculum and degree, with the added benefit of UAE residency rights and access to GCC graduate employment. Sri Lankan A-Level applicants with 3 A's in Physics, Chemistry, and Combined Maths (or equivalent in Pure / Applied Math) can qualify for the higher discount brackets. The Dubai campus offers Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Biotechnology, and Engineering Management.

BITS Pilani Dubai's instruction is entirely in English. Sri Lankan applicants with English-medium A-Levels do not need IELTS. Students from a non-English-medium curriculum need IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL iBT 79+.

1

Apply to BITS Pilani Dubai by June

Submit your BITS Pilani Dubai application via the campus admissions portal (bits-dubai.ac.ae) by 30 June 2026 for September 2026 entry. Submit A-Level / Edexcel / Cambridge predicted or final results, school transcripts, passport copy, and statement of purpose.

2

Final results submission

Submit final A-Level results to the BITS Dubai admissions team as soon as released (typically August for May-June A-Level sittings). The merit scholarship tier is determined at this stage based on confirmed PCM aggregate.

3

Offer letter with scholarship

Receive the BITS Dubai offer letter naming the merit scholarship tier (20% / 35% / 50% / 80%) and the reduced annual tuition (around AED 60,000 with 80% off vs. AED 70,000 standard). The award is automatic — no separate scholarship application.

4

Accept offer + UAE student visa

Accept the offer and pay the first-semester reduced tuition fees. BITS Dubai supports the UAE student visa application via the Dubai International Academic City Free Zone Authority — typically processed in 4-6 weeks.
