Turku UAS Tuition Fee Scholarships and Early Bird Discount

Turku University of Applied Sciences is a large multi-field institution in Finland's oldest city, teaching engineering, ICT, business, health care and the creative industries. Its funding offer to non-EU students is best understood as a discount structure rather than a scholarship in the Commonwealth sense — nothing here is awarded on the strength of your Sri Lankan transcript. Tuition for a non-EU or non-EEA citizen on an English-taught bachelor's or master's degree starting in 2026 or later is EUR 12,000 per academic year, roughly LKR 4.14 million; students who began between 2020 and 2025 pay EUR 11,500 on their original terms. Against that, two reductions exist. The Early Bird discount takes EUR 1,000, about LKR 345,000, off the first year's fee if you accept your place within 14 days of the acceptance email and pay through Flywire within 30 days — a straightforward saving, but one that puts real pressure on a Sri Lankan family to move money abroad quickly, so start the bank paperwork before results are out. Transfer applicants and open UAS students are excluded. The larger money is language-linked: Turku UAS grants a scholarship of up to EUR 4,000 per achievement for certifying Finnish through the National Certificate of Language Proficiency at YKI level 2 (A2), level 3 (B1) and level 4 (B2), with a smaller EUR 2,000 tier where less tuition has been paid. Awards are processed as credits against your subsequent fee payments and require you to be an actively studying student. It is a deliberate design: Turku UAS is paying you to become employable in Finland.

Fees and discounts are set per academic year (1 August to 31 July). The EUR 12,000 rate applies to students starting in 2026 or later; the Early Bird window opens the moment your acceptance email arrives and closes 14 days later, so it is tied to your own admission timetable rather than a public calendar
