Leeds International Fee Scholarship
The Leeds International Fee Scholarship rewards self-funded overseas Master's students at the University of Leeds with a tuition discount of 25%, 50%, or 100%, depending on academic merit. Awards are made across most taught Master's faculties — business, engineering, science, social sciences, and arts. For Sri Lankan applicants converting LKR into GBP at current rates, even the 25% tier (saving £6,000+) is meaningful. The university makes around 50 such awards each cycle, with full waivers reserved for the strongest first-class graduates.

Leeds Master's Offer Holder
You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible full-time Master's at the University of Leeds. Most taught Master's programmes are covered; PhD and MBA candidates apply through separate Leeds funding routes.
International Fee Status
Open to overseas-fee international students. Sri Lankan citizens applying from Sri Lanka qualify. UK home-fee students are not eligible — they apply via separate Leeds awards.
Strong Academic Profile
Award tiers correspond to academic merit. A first-class Sri Lankan Bachelor's (or international equivalent — UK 2:1+, GPA 3.5+/4.0) is typical for the 50% tier; outstanding profiles with distinctions or publications can reach the 100% tier.
Self-Funded
Designed for students paying their own way. If you are already in receipt of a major external scholarship (Commonwealth, Chevening, Inlaks), you are typically not eligible — Leeds wants to maximise impact for unfunded candidates.
