Leeds International Master's Excellence Scholarship
Leeds International Master's Excellence Scholarships are merit-based tuition discounts of £5,000 awarded to high-achieving international students joining a one-year taught Master's at the Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences (which covers Mechanical Engineering, Civil, Electronic & Electrical, Chemical, Computing, and Mathematics). Around 50 awards are made each cycle, with separate schemes running for the Leeds University Business School (LUBS) and Faculty of Environment.

Equivalent to a UK first-class undergraduate degree. Sri Lankan applicants typically need a first-class honours from Moratuwa, Peradeniya, Colombo, SLIIT, or an equivalent recognised institution.

Complete the scholarship form
Apply via the Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences scholarship portal — provide a personal statement, your offer details, and transcripts.
Faculty selection panel
Awards are made on academic merit, with the faculty scholarship panel reviewing all applicants. Outcomes are typically announced in April.
Accept and enrol
Successful awardees see the £5,000 discount applied directly to their tuition fees. You must accept and enrol by the standard deadline to retain the award.
