LASALLE Scholarship (All Nationalities)
LASALLE College of the Arts is Singapore's leading contemporary arts and design institution, offering diplomas, BA (Hons) degrees validated by Goldsmiths, University of London, and postgraduate programmes across fine art, design, film, animation, fashion, music, dance and arts management. Most of its scholarships are restricted to Singapore citizens or permanent residents, so it matters that three are explicitly open to all nationalities: the LASALLE Scholarship (up to SGD 5,000), the Future Leader Scholarship (SGD 5,000) and the Brother Joseph McNally Memorial Scholarship (up to SGD 5,000). Each covers one academic year and is worth roughly LKR 1.2 million. In the 2026 cycle the application window ran 23 January to 3 May. Awards recognise outstanding academic performance, leadership potential and a demonstrated passion for creativity and innovation, and LASALLE states that scholarships and bursaries it administers are strictly applied to tuition fees for one academic year unless otherwise stated. Be realistic about scale. SGD 5,000 is a meaningful contribution but it will not fund a Singapore arts education on its own; you must still cover the tuition balance, Singapore living costs and your Student's Pass. Miscellaneous fees are explicitly not covered by scholarships or bursaries. The award is also for one year, so it is not a guaranteed multi-year commitment. For a Sri Lankan student building a portfolio-based creative career, though, LASALLE is one of the few Asian institutions with genuine international standing in the arts, and an award like this can be the piece that makes the first year work.
2027 cycle: applications ran 23 January - 3 May 2027. The scheme runs annually on a similar window — confirm current dates on lasalle.edu.sg

info How this award actually works
Who awards it
LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore — not Lanka Scholar. We are not the awarding body and cannot grant, reserve or guarantee this award.
How you are considered
Through your admission application. Awards like this are usually assessed automatically from the application you already submit — there is typically no separate scholarship form to fill in.
What it covers
Up to SGD 5,000 Towards Tuition for One Academic Year. This is a reduction in tuition, not a full ride. You still fund the remainder, plus living costs and the balance your visa requires you to show.
Where we come in
We make the admission application strong enough to be competitive — course choice, documents, references and deadlines. The funder makes the decision.

All Nationalities
The LASALLE Scholarship, the Future Leader Scholarship and the Brother Joseph McNally Memorial Scholarship are each open to all nationalities. Most other LASALLE awards require Singapore citizenship or permanent residency.
Merit and Creative Potential
Awards recognise outstanding academic excellence, leadership potential and a demonstrated passion for creativity and innovation. Your portfolio and creative record matter alongside grades.
Tuition Only, One Year
LASALLE-administered scholarships and bursaries are strictly used for the payment of tuition fees for one academic year unless otherwise stated. Miscellaneous fees are not covered.
Partial Support, Not Full Funding
At up to SGD 5,000, this is a contribution rather than a full ride. You must be able to fund the remaining tuition, Singapore living costs and your Student's Pass independently.

Apply for admission to LASALLE
Apply to a diploma, BA (Hons) or postgraduate programme through LASALLE's admissions process. Most creative programmes require a portfolio submission and often an interview or audition.
Build a portfolio that reads internationally
Your creative work is the core of both admission and scholarship assessment. Show development and originality, not just finished pieces — LASALLE assesses potential, not only polish.
Submit the scholarship application in the window
Apply during the annual window, which ran 23 January to 3 May in the 2026 cycle. Check which of the three all-nationality awards you are eligible for and apply to each that fits.
Plan the full cost of the year
Model tuition after the award, plus miscellaneous fees which are not covered, plus Singapore accommodation and living costs. Confirm the total before accepting your place.
Apply for your Student's Pass
Apply through ICA's SOLAR system with the details LASALLE provides once you are enrolled.

Looking for a scholarship because of the cost?
Then start here instead. Scholarships are competitive, usually partial, and decided by someone else — they are the least reliable way to make studying abroad affordable. Your destination and course choice move the number far more, and both are entirely within your control.
