Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) is Korea's leading university for languages, international studies, translation and interpreting, and area studies — it teaches dozens of foreign languages and runs a highly regarded Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation. Its international-student scholarships follow the standard Korean structure: an entrance tuition reduction of 30%–100% based on your record at admission, then continuing reductions each semester tied to GPA. HUFS suits Sri Lankan applicants aiming at international relations, global business, languages, or diplomacy-oriented study, and it offers English-taught tracks (notably in its Global Business and international-studies colleges) that accept IELTS or an English-medium degree, so Korean is not required to begin. Entrance scholarship decided at offer

Admitted international students are assigned an entrance-scholarship band automatically; your offer states the first-semester tuition reduction.

Maintain GPA each semester

From semester two, the reduction is recalculated on GPA. Consistent grades keep the higher bands.

Apply for the D-2 student visa

Use your admission certificate and proof of remaining tuition plus living funds to apply for the D-2 visa via the Korean mission serving Sri Lanka.
