Strong Academic + Professional Profile

First-class or strong second-upper Bachelor's degree. For MSc Finance applications: strong mathematical foundation is critical (calculus, linear algebra, probability). GMAT 650+ (median ~700 for top Master's) or GRE equivalent recommended. Sri Lankan applicants from Moratuwa, Colombo, or international top universities are competitive.

public

Open to All Nationalities

Excellence Scholarships are open to both EU and non-EU international applicants. Sri Lankan citizens applying from Sri Lanka are eligible — note that non-EU applicants pay higher tuition (~EUR 25,000-42,000 depending on programme) than EU students, so the scholarship makes a proportionally bigger difference.

English Proficiency

All EDHEC Master's are taught in English. Required: IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL iBT 92+ for most programmes. MSc Finance may require IELTS 7.0+. Sri Lankan applicants with English-medium degrees may qualify for the MOI-letter waiver.

Submit your EDHEC Master's application via the online portal. Round 1 (mid-October 2026) and Round 2 (mid-January 2027) have the best scholarship odds — by the time R3/R4 open, much of the scholarship budget is committed. Application fee EUR 100.

Automatic Excellence Scholarship consideration

All admitted candidates are automatically reviewed for the Excellence Scholarship. Award size is determined by overall profile strength — academic record (40%), GMAT/GRE (25%), interview (20%), professional experience and motivation (15%).

4

Acceptance + French visa

Successful applicants accept the offer and scholarship via the EDHEC portal and pay the (reduced) deposit. Use the offer + Campus France acceptance to apply for the French student visa (Type D Long-Stay) via VFS Colombo or the French Embassy.
