MSc in Computer Science and Engineering
Politecnico di Milano
Course Overview
POLIMI's MSc in Computer Science and Engineering is one of Europe's strongest English-taught CS Master's at a remarkably competitive fee. Two years, specialisation tracks in AI and Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, and Computer Engineering. POLIMI's CS department is QS top-30 globally, and the Milan tech corridor pulls graduates into roles at Google Milan, Microsoft, Reply, Bending Spoons, Ferrari's digital teams, and the fintech scene around UniCredit and Intesa Sanpaolo.
Sri Lankan applicants with a BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or Electrical/Computer Engineering from Moratuwa, Colombo UCSC, Peradeniya, SLIIT, NSBM, NIBM, IIT, or ICBT are the right fit. Tuition follows Italy's ISEE-based progressive system — documented modest-income families often pay €900–€1,800/year rather than the €3,600 ceiling. Many students also take advantage of POLIMI's industry-thesis option, which counts as a paid internship at one of POLIMI's 600+ partner companies.
