Trinity MBA Scholarships

Trinity Business School runs a small suite of scholarships against its Full-Time MBA, which carries a tuition fee of EUR 37,300 — roughly LKR 12.9 million. Several of these awards are open to international applicants including Sri Lankans. The Trinity MBA Merit Scholarship is assessed after your admissions interview, on a holistic view of your application, references, CV, academic record and interview performance, and the average award is around EUR 8,000. The 30% Club Women in Leadership Scholarship offers two awards of EUR 18,000 each to female applicants demonstrating outstanding leadership potential, with a deadline of 8 June 2026 for that cycle. Four Social Impact Scholarships of EUR 10,000 each go to applicants with NGO, charity or social-sector experience, assessed on a rolling basis. Two other awards are narrower: the Séamus McDermott Entrepreneurship Scholarship (four awards of EUR 10,000) is aimed at proven entrepreneurs and SME owners or managers in Ireland, and the Trinity MBA Alumni Bursary (four awards of EUR 5,000) is for existing Trinity graduates — most Sri Lankan applicants will not qualify for either. Be honest with yourself about the arithmetic. Even the largest award, EUR 18,000, leaves roughly EUR 19,300 in fees plus a year of Dublin living costs, which realistically runs another EUR 15,000-20,000. An MBA in Ireland is a serious investment that makes sense mainly for professionals with several years of experience aiming at the multinational employers clustered in Dublin. Apply early: most of these awards are decided on a rolling basis and the school explicitly recommends early application.

Rolling assessment alongside MBA admissions. In the 2027 cycle, applications for the Trinity MBA closed 8 June 2027, shortlist announced 15 June and winners in the week of 6 July — expect a similar rhythm for the next intake. Dates follow the same annual pattern — confirm the current round before applying.

account_tree Application Process

1

Apply to the Trinity Full-Time MBA

Submit your MBA application through the Trinity portal with CV, essays, references and academic transcripts. Trinity expects substantial professional experience — this is not a route straight from a first degree.

2

Submit the scholarship application form

All scholarships require a Scholarship Application Form submitted alongside your MBA application. Alumni are automatically considered for the Alumni Bursary; others must upload the relevant form.

3

Prepare for the admissions interview

The Merit Scholarship is assessed after your interview, so treat the interview as part of your funding case: be specific about your impact, your goals and why Trinity.

4

Budget the remaining cost

Model the fee balance after any award, plus Dublin accommodation, living costs and health insurance for a full year. Confirm the total before you apply for the Irish long-stay (D) study visa.

Why Trinity Business School?

Trinity Business School sits inside Ireland's oldest and highest-ranked university, in a purpose-built city-centre campus building. Its MBA cohorts are small and international, and Dublin's concentration of technology, financial services and pharmaceutical headquarters is the practical draw.
