RSM Erasmus MBA Scholarships

Rotterdam School of Management is one of Europe's triple-accredited business schools — AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA — and its full-time International MBA is a twelve-month programme with a cohort drawn from around 30 nationalities. RSM runs a portfolio of named MBA scholarships worth roughly €10,000-25,000 each, several targeting candidates from emerging economies, women in leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainability and social-impact careers. Two features make Rotterdam worth comparing carefully against London or INSEAD. First, total tuition is materially below UK and US equivalents while the accreditation and ranking are comparable. Second, the Netherlands grants a one-year Orientation Year residence permit after graduation with full labour-market access, and Rotterdam sits inside a corporate corridor including Unilever, Shell, Heineken, Philips, ING and the largest port in Europe.

account_tree Application Process

1

Apply to the MBA in an early round

RSM admits on a rolling basis and the scholarship pool depletes as the cycle progresses. Applying in the first or second round rather than the last materially improves scholarship odds.

2

Complete admissions assessment

  • GMAT, GRE or the RSM alternative assessment
  • CV with quantified professional achievements
  • Essays and two references
  • Admissions interview
3

Submit scholarship applications

Each named scholarship has its own essay and criteria. Apply to every award you genuinely fit — doing so does not weaken any individual application, and committees expect it.

4

Plan the full financing

Model tuition net of any award plus roughly €15,000-18,000 in Rotterdam living costs for the year. RSM works with MBA loan providers, and the financing plan should be settled before you accept the seat.

5

Visa and Orientation Year

RSM sponsors the MVV entry visa and residence permit. After graduation, apply for the one-year Orientation Year permit, which gives unrestricted access to the Dutch labour market to find a role.

Why RSM?

Rotterdam School of Management is the business school of Erasmus University Rotterdam and one of Europe's largest, holding all three major international accreditations. Its research output in management ranks among the highest in Europe, and its location in Rotterdam places students beside the continent's biggest port and a dense concentration of Dutch and international corporate headquarters.
