Lincoln University International Undergraduate Scholarship

Lincoln University New Zealand's International Undergraduate Scholarship is an automatic NZD 10,000 (LKR 1.9M) award in the first year of study, with potential NZD 5,000 renewals in subsequent years. Lincoln is New Zealand's specialist land-based university — its strongest programmes are in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Food Science, Viticulture, Environmental Management, Veterinary Technology, and Landscape Architecture. New Zealand's agriculture and food export economy gives Lincoln graduates a clear local job market and a 3-year post-study work visa. Sri Lankan applicants from agriculture-adjacent families or considering the food / dairy / horticulture sectors at home find Lincoln a strong fit.

account_tree Application Process

1

Apply to Lincoln undergrad

Submit your Lincoln undergraduate application via the online portal (lincoln.ac.nz) or through an authorised education representative in Sri Lanka. Aim to apply 3-4 months before the intake to allow time for offer + visa processing.

2

Automatic scholarship review

Every international undergraduate offer-holder is automatically considered for the scholarship — no separate application form. The award value (NZD 10,000 Year 1, plus NZD 5,000/yr renewal) is communicated in the offer letter.

3

Accept offer + pay deposit

Accept the offer in the applicant portal and pay the standard NZD tuition deposit by the deadline stated in the offer. This triggers your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for the New Zealand Subclass 514 student visa.

4

Receive scholarship at enrolment + renewal

The NZD 10,000 first-year award is applied as a direct reduction on your first-year tuition invoice. The NZD 5,000 renewal in years 2 and 3 is automatic provided you maintain a B-average GPA and full-time enrolment.
