SNU's PhD in Business Administration is delivered through the Graduate School of Business — South Korea's most prestigious business school, AACSB-accredited and ranked top-10 in Asia (QS, FT). The 4-year doctorate is offered across six major fields: Management Strategy and International Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Operations and Management Science, and Management Information Systems. SNU Business sits inside South Korea's flagship national university and trains the senior research talent for Samsung Future Strategy Office, Hyundai Motor Group Future Innovation Office, the Korea Capital Market Institute, and the Bank of Korea Research Department. Research output appears regularly in top-tier journals (Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Finance, MIS Quarterly).

Sri Lankan applicants typically reach SNU Business after a strong Bachelor's in Business, Economics, or related discipline from the University of Colombo Faculty of Management, UoM Department of Decision Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Faculty of Management, or the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), often with industry experience at HNB, Commercial Bank, Sampath, JKH, Brandix, MAS, or Hayleys. Funding is fully covered: the SNU President's Fellowship covers full tuition + KRW 1.2 million/month stipend (roughly LKR 276,000/month) + medical insurance for 4 years. The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is an additional pathway.
