Course Overview

ETH Zurich's MSc in Mechanical Engineering is a 90-credit, three-semester program with seven specialisation tracks — Robotics, Energy, Bioengineering, Micro- & Nanosystems, Process Engineering, Product Development, and Mechanics. The department runs joint research with ABB, Siemens, Bosch, and Sulzer, and Sri Lankan students with strong design or robotics portfolios are well-positioned.

The first semester focuses on advanced core (continuum mechanics, control, thermo-fluids), followed by your chosen specialisation. The program ends with a 30-credit Master's thesis often done in an industry lab. Tuition is CHF 730 per semester; the real cost is Zurich's living expenses.
