Delft University of Technology (TU Delft)
Course Overview
TU Delft's MSc Aerospace Engineering is one of the largest and oldest aerospace programmes in Europe, consistently ranked top 5 worldwide for the subject. The faculty operates its own wind tunnels, flight simulators, and the Cessna Citation II research aircraft. Sri Lankan applicants with strong mechanical, aerospace, or aeronautical engineering backgrounds compete for one of around 250 international seats.
The two-year programme branches into seven tracks: Aerodynamics, Flight Performance & Propulsion, Aerospace Structures & Materials, Control & Operations, Space Engineering, Sustainable Aerospace, and the Honours Track. Thesis projects often run with Airbus, GKN Fokker, Royal NLR, or the European Space Agency. Aerospace Engineering is a selection programme — decisions are released by end of March.
