MSc in International Management
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School
Course Overview
UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School is Ireland's leading business school and one of a small group worldwide to hold triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA). The MSc in International Management is a one-year master's for recent graduates who want to launch a global management career — it pairs core management, strategy, finance, and marketing with an explicit international and cross-cultural focus.
The programme is built around real-world exposure: an international study tour, company consulting projects, and the option of a global exchange or double-degree with partner schools in the CEMS network and beyond. Smurfit's Dublin location puts students inside the European HQ cluster of global firms — Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Accenture, and the major banks and consultancies all recruit on campus.
For Sri Lankan graduates, Ireland is one of the strongest post-study propositions in Europe: graduates of an Irish master's qualify for the two-year Stamp 1G Third Level Graduate Scheme, which converts into a Critical Skills Employment Permit and a path toward long-term EU residence. A Smurfit qualification is recognised globally and opens doors into consulting, corporate strategy, and graduate-management programmes.
