MAS in Management, Technology, and Economics (MTEC)
ETH Zurich
Course Overview
The MAS MTEC at ETH Zurich is a part-time, four-semester Master of Advanced Studies for working professionals — typically engineers, scientists, and emerging leaders with 2+ years of experience who want to add business and economics to a technical foundation. Sri Lankan candidates already in Switzerland or Europe on work visas are the natural fit; the part-time format lets you stay employed throughout.
The curriculum covers managerial economics, finance, leadership, strategy, and innovation, with an integrated capstone project. Classes are taught in English by ETH MTEC department faculty plus practitioners from McKinsey, Roche, Novartis, and Swiss industrials. Total programme cost is CHF 23,700, paid over the four semesters.

Career Outcomes & PR
MAS MTEC alumni typically use the degree to step up into management, consulting, or product roles inside Swiss industrials (ABB, Roche, Novartis, Sulzer, Schindler) and consultancies (McKinsey, BCG, Bain Zurich). Because students stay employed during the programme, "post-graduation salary" is less the metric than promotion and role change — internal data points to ~20–30% salary uplift within 2 years.
