MSc Information and Communication Systems Security
KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden)
Course Overview
KTH's MSc in Information and Communication Systems Security is a 2-year, 120 ECTS, English-taught Master's at Sweden's largest technical university (consistently top-20 in Europe for Engineering & Technology, QS). The programme is delivered out of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science on the central Stockholm campus. Tracks include network security, system security, applied cryptography, and security management; the second-year thesis is typically done at Ericsson, Saab, the Swedish FRA, or one of KTH's WASP (Wallenberg AI) labs.
Sri Lankan demand for KTH and Swedish Master's is rising fast for one structural reason: Sweden's Job Seeker permit gives international graduates 12 months to find skilled work, and Swedish PR is achievable in 4 years (faster than Germany, France, Netherlands). Stockholm's tech scene — Spotify, Klarna, King, Ericsson, Truecaller — sponsors EU Blue Cards routinely for cyber and software roles.
