Course Overview
Imperial's MSc Environmental Technology has run since 1977 — it is one of the world's longest-established Master's degrees in the field and a flagship programme of the Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP). The one-year MSc lets students specialise in one of nine options: Business and the Environment, Climate Change Management and Finance, Ecological Management, Energy Policy, Environmental Analysis and Assessment, Environmental Economics and Policy, Global Environmental Change and Policy, Pollution Management, or Water Management. The course is delivered jointly by CEP, the Grantham Institute and Imperial's Departments of Civil Engineering, Earth Science and Engineering, and Life Sciences.

Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle Sri Lankan Bachelor's (Hons): minimum Upper Second-Class (2:1 / GPA 3.3+) in any quantitative discipline — engineering, biological / physical sciences, geography, environmental science, economics, or related.

- check_circle Relevant work experience or research is preferred but not mandatory for fresh graduates.
- check_circle Apply through Imperial's online portal; admissions are rolling, with most offers issued between January and April.

Eligible for the 2-year UK Graduate Route on completion. Recent destinations include the UK Climate Change Committee, DEFRA, World Bank, Mott MacDonald, Arup, Bloomberg NEF, Schroders, M&G Climate Solutions, the IEA, and major NGOs like WWF, RSPB and Practical Action. Roughly 15% of each cohort progresses to PhDs at Imperial, Oxford, Cambridge, ETH or Stanford. Median starting salary: £35,000–45,000 (LKR 14M–18M/yr).
