Course Overview

Imperial's MSc Environmental Technology has run since 1977 — it is one of the world's longest-established Master's degrees in the field and a flagship programme of the Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP). The one-year MSc lets students specialise in one of nine options: Business and the Environment, Climate Change Management and Finance, Ecological Management, Energy Policy, Environmental Analysis and Assessment, Environmental Economics and Policy, Global Environmental Change and Policy, Pollution Management, or Water Management. The course is delivered jointly by CEP, the Grantham Institute and Imperial's Departments of Civil Engineering, Earth Science and Engineering, and Life Sciences.

Sri Lankan applicants choose this MSc because Imperial sits at the centre of London's climate-finance, ESG and clean-tech ecosystem — the Grantham Institute alone places graduates into the UNFCCC, World Bank Climate Investment Funds, IRENA, Bloomberg NEF, and into climate teams at Schroders, M&G, Mott MacDonald and Arup. The Imperial MSc + UK Graduate Route combination is the fastest credible track for a Sri Lankan biology / engineering / economics graduate to break into international climate work.
