MSc Environmental Science
University of Bristol
Course Overview
The University of Bristol is a Russell Group, QS top-60 university with one of the UK's strongest earth- and environmental-sciences faculties, closely tied to the Cabot Institute for the Environment. Its MSc Environmental Science trains graduates in climate science, pollution and environmental management, sustainability, and the data and modelling skills employers and researchers demand. For Sri Lankan science graduates from Colombo, Peradeniya, Kelaniya, Ruhuna or SLIIT, Bristol offers a rigorous, research-led route into the fast-growing climate and environment sector.
The programme combines core environmental science with optional specialisation across climate change, environmental pollution and remediation, and environmental policy, plus fieldwork, GIS / data training and a research dissertation. Bristol's strengths in palaeoclimate, biogeochemistry and climate modelling make it a credible base for those heading into environmental consultancy, the green economy or PhD study. The UK's 2-year Graduate Route lets graduates stay and work after completion.
