MSc in Civil Engineering
Nanyang Technological University (School of Civil & Environmental Engineering)
Course Overview
The MSc Civil Engineering at NTU is a one-year, coursework-based programme covering structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, and environmental water resources. For Sri Lankan BSc Civil Engineering graduates, it is a recognised route to deepen technical knowledge in seismic design, BIM-driven project delivery, and sustainable construction — all areas Singapore actively recruits into.
Singapore's built-environment sector — from the cross-island MRT line to land reclamation and green-mark high-rise construction — gives students direct industry exposure. Many electives are taught with input from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and major firms like Surbana Jurong and Arup.
