Course Overview
Warwick's MEng Engineering is a four-year integrated master's that gives Sri Lankan A/Level science students a single, accredited route to chartered engineer (CEng) status — no separate master's application needed. The first two years are general engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, electronic, systems); from Year 3 you specialise into one of seven streams including Automotive, Manufacturing, Electrical & Electronic, or Civil.
Warwick's engineering school is housed alongside WMG and the National Automotive Innovation Centre, which means hands-on access to industry-grade rigs and a teaching faculty that consults for Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin. Optional intercalated year in industry between Years 3 and 4 — most students take it and convert the placement into a graduate offer.
Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle A/Levels: AAA including Mathematics and Physics (or equivalent in Cambridge/Edexcel International A/Levels — common offer for Sri Lankan applicants).
- check_circle OR IB: 38 points with 6,6,6 at Higher Level, including Maths and Physics.
- check_circle OR completion of a recognised UK or international Foundation Year with strong distinctions in Maths and Physics.
- check_circle UCAS application with personal statement and academic reference.
English Proficiency

Career Outcomes & PR
Eligible for the 2-year UK Graduate Route on completion. Mechanical, electrical and civil engineering are on the UK Shortage Occupation List, giving a clear path to Skilled Worker sponsorship and eventual settlement. Warwick MEng graduates routinely place into Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, Arup, Atkins and BAE Systems.
