Course Overview
Imperial College London is ranked #2 globally in QS World Rankings (2026) and Imperial's Department of Aeronautics is consistently ranked the world's top aeronautical engineering school by THE and QS Subject Rankings. The 4-year MEng Aeronautical Engineering is fully accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. The integrated Master's covers aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, flight dynamics, aircraft design, space systems, and computational fluid dynamics. Final-year students complete a major group design project (real-world Airbus / Rolls-Royce briefs) plus an individual research dissertation.

Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle A Level: A*A*A — must include Mathematics (A*) and Physics (A*), with Further Mathematics highly recommended.
- check_circle IB Diploma: 41 points with HL Maths AA 7, HL Physics 7.
- check_circle Sri Lankan Local A Level: 3 As in Combined Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. // VERIFY local A-Level equivalence with Imperial
- check_circle MAT (Mathematics Admissions Test) at the Imperial-specified threshold.
- check_circle Personal statement (no Imperial-specific interview for most undergraduate engineering).
English Proficiency
- check_circle IELTS Academic: 7.0 Overall (min 6.5 in each band).
- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 100 Overall (min 22 in each section).
- check_circle PTE Academic: 70 Overall.
