Yonsei's Master of Data Science is delivered through the Graduate School of Information — Yonsei is one of Korea's SKY universities (Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University) and consistently ranked top-100 globally (QS, Shanghai). The 2-year MSc covers Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data Engineering, NLP, Computer Vision, Statistical Inference, Business Analytics, and Healthcare Informatics. Yonsei's location in Seoul's Sinchon district gives direct access to Korea's tech corridor — Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Hynix, Naver, Kakao, Coupang, and the major Korean banks (KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, Woori). The Graduate School of Information partners directly with Naver AI Lab, the Samsung SDS Research Institute, and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) for capstone industry projects.

Sri Lankan applicants typically reach Yonsei MDS after a strong Bachelor's in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics from the University of Moratuwa, University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), IIT, SLIIT, or other recognised institutions. Yonsei's tuition (KRW 8.6 million/year, roughly LKR 2 million/year) is roughly 1/6 of US / Australian equivalents, and the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) administered by NIIED funds full tuition + monthly stipend for selected international applicants. Korean post-study work is via the D-10 Job Seeker visa (6 months extendable to 2 years) and conversion to F-2-7 Long-Term Skilled Worker visa.
