LLB (Hons) Bachelor of Laws
Middlesex University Dubai
Course Overview
Middlesex University Dubai is the UAE campus of London's Middlesex University, and its LLB (Hons) Bachelor of Laws is awarded directly by Middlesex University (UK) — the degree certificate and academic standards are identical to the UK-issued qualification, and the campus is licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education and accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA).
The three-year LLB covers the foundations of English law — contract, tort, public and constitutional law, criminal law, EU and human-rights law, land law, equity and trusts — alongside electives that reflect the commercial, international, and Islamic-finance legal context of the Gulf. Students develop legal research, drafting, mooting, and advocacy skills, and Dubai's role as a regional business and dispute-resolution hub (with the DIFC Courts and international arbitration centres) makes the case material distinctively cross-border.
For Sri Lankan applicants, this is a cost-effective route to a UK law degree delivered in a major global business city: total tuition is well below studying the same degree in London, while the qualification carries UK academic recognition. Dubai's tax-free salaries, large Sri Lankan community, two-year post-study Green Visa, and growing legal and compliance sector make it an attractive base — and the UK-issued LLB also feeds onward routes toward UK or international legal practice and master's study.

Career Outcomes & PR
Middlesex Dubai LLB graduates move into legal practice, in-house counsel, compliance, contracts, and the dispute-resolution and corporate-services sector that clusters around the DIFC and Dubai's free zones — plus banking, real estate, and the regional offices of international firms. The UAE's two-year Green Visa lets graduates of UAE-licensed institutions stay and work without sponsorship, salaries are tax-free, and the UK-issued degree supports onward routes toward UK or international legal qualification.
