Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy)
National University of Singapore
Course Overview
The National University of Singapore is ranked among the top 10 universities in the world (QS) and is Asia's leading research university. Its Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy), offered by the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, is a four-year honours degree covering pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and clinical and patient-centred pharmacy practice — combining laboratory science with structured clinical placements.
The programme is the academic foundation for pharmacy practice in Singapore and trains graduates for roles in community and hospital pharmacy, the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, and regulatory affairs. NUS's location at the centre of Asia's biomedical hub — Singapore hosts the regional R&D and manufacturing operations of the world's major pharma companies — means strong industry exposure and research opportunities throughout the degree.
For Sri Lankan students, NUS Pharmacy is a route into a high-value healthcare profession at a globally top-ranked university, close to home and taught entirely in English. Singapore's MOE Tuition Grant can substantially reduce fees in return for a post-study work commitment, the city is a major employer of healthcare and life-sciences talent, and post-study work passes give graduates a path to build a career in Asia's most advanced economy.
