Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) sits at the heart of Austria's Silicon Alps — the semiconductor and embedded-systems cluster anchored by NXP Austria, AVL List (the world's largest independent automotive testing and powertrain company), AT&S, ams OSRAM, Magna Steyr, and Infineon Austria. TU Graz Informatik is one of three pillars of the Faculty of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering and is particularly strong in cybersecurity (the IAIK cryptography institute is globally recognised), embedded systems, machine learning, and software engineering.
