BSc Business Administration
American University of Malta
Course Overview
American University of Malta (AUM) is a privately-operated US-style university based at the former Knights Hospitallers complex in Cospicua (Bormla), Malta's Three Cities area, with a campus also in Bormla harbourfront. The BSc Business Administration is a 4-year US-style undergraduate degree, accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) and offered with concentrations in Finance, Marketing, Management, and International Business. Teaching is in English using American academic conventions (credit hours, GPA, two semesters plus summer term).
Sri Lankan applicants who want a US-style undergraduate education at Maltese tuition rates choose AUM. The fee tier (€11,000/yr) is roughly a quarter of comparable US-based BBA programmes, and the EU graduate residence rights apply on completion. The curriculum mirrors a typical US business school core: accounting, finance, marketing, management, business law, economics, statistics, ethics, plus chosen concentration electives in Years 3-4 and a capstone project. The smaller cohort means closer faculty contact than at the University of Malta. Returnees route into management trainee programmes at John Keells, Hayleys, MAS, Brandix, Cargills, Dialog Axiata, and the Big Four Colombo offices.
