ESSEC International Scholarship
The ESSEC International Scholarship is the business school's flagship merit award for non-French applicants entering its Master in Management, Global MBA, or specialised MSc programmes. Awards typically cover 25%, 35%, or 50% of tuition — applied across the programme duration. ESSEC sits within France's elite triangle of grandes écoles (alongside HEC Paris and ESCP), is consistently top-5 in Europe for the Master in Management (Financial Times), and offers strong placements into Paris-based consulting, finance, and luxury brand roles. Sri Lankan applicants with strong undergraduate results from Moratuwa, Colombo, or international Bachelor's degrees are competitive.

ESSEC Admission Offer
You must have applied to (or hold an offer for) an ESSEC degree programme. Most international applicants target the Master in Management (MIM), the Global MBA, or one of the specialised MScs (Finance, Data Sciences & Business Analytics, Strategy & Management of International Business).
Non-French / International Applicant
Open to applicants holding a non-French undergraduate degree. Sri Lankan citizens with a Bachelor's from Moratuwa, Colombo, Peradeniya, Kelaniya, or a foreign university are eligible.
Strong Academic + Professional Profile
GMAT 650+ / GRE equivalent is competitive. Selection considers undergraduate grades, professional experience (mandatory for the Global MBA — minimum 3 years), and a leadership-focused motivation essay.
English Proficiency
Programmes are taught in English. IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 100+, or PTE 68+ is expected. Native English speakers and Sri Lankans whose Bachelor's was in English may apply for the language requirement to be waived.

Apply to ESSEC
Submit your admission application via the ESSEC online portal. Include transcripts, CV, two essays, two references, GMAT/GRE score (or ESSEC test), and your English certificate. Apply in early rounds for the best scholarship odds.
Automatic scholarship consideration
Every admitted international student is automatically considered for the International Scholarship — no separate form. The admissions committee assesses academic merit, professional achievement, and your essays.
Decision with admission offer
Scholarship tier (25%, 35%, or 50%) is communicated alongside your admission letter, typically 6-8 weeks after the round deadline. Accept by paying the enrolment deposit.
Discount applied across tuition
The discount is automatically applied to each semester's tuition invoice. Recipients can stack the International Scholarship with select external awards (e.g. Eiffel) where rules permit.
Why ESSEC?
ESSEC is among Europe's most selective grandes écoles for business — triple-accredited (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) and consistently top-5 in the Financial Times European Master in Management ranking. Its Cergy and La Défense campuses sit on the Paris Métro, and the school maintains strong recruiting partnerships with BNP Paribas, LVMH, McKinsey, and other Paris-headquartered employers.
