Course Overview
TU Delft's PhD in Computer Science is delivered through the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) — the largest Dutch CS faculty and consistently top-50 globally for Computer Science (QS subject 2026). Eligible for the Netherlands Orientation Year (Zoekjaar) on PhD completion — 1-year residence permit to job-search. TU Delft Computer Science PhDs route into senior R&D positions at ASML (Veldhoven), Booking.com, Adyen, TomTom, NXP, Philips Research, Google DeepMind, Microsoft Research, Meta Reality Labs, plus academic posts at Dutch and European universities (postdoc CAO-NU salaries €3,800-€4,700/month, industry research scientist roles €75,000-€110,000 starting).
