Course Overview
Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) sits at the heart of the Brainport region — Europe's high-tech manufacturing cluster anchored by ASML, Philips and a dense network of precision-engineering firms. Its two-year MSc Mechanical Engineering is taught entirely in English and is consistently rated among the most industry-connected engineering Master's in Europe. Sri Lankan engineering graduates from Moratuwa, Peradeniya, SLIIT, KDU or NSBM use TU/e as a route into mechatronics, robotics, automotive and high-tech-systems careers.
The programme offers specialisations across dynamics and control, systems and control, micro- and nano-mechanics, automotive technology, and energy technologies, with strong emphasis on industry projects and a graduation thesis often carried out inside a Brainport company. - check_circle Waived if your bachelor's degree was taught and assessed entirely in English (most Sri Lankan engineering graduates qualify with an MOI letter).

Career Outcomes & PR
TU/e graduates can apply for the Netherlands' one-year orientation-year (zoekjaar) permit, with conversion to a Highly Skilled Migrant permit (and an EU Blue Card / PR pathway) on a qualifying offer. Brainport's employers — ASML, Philips, VDL, NXP, and a deep tier of precision-engineering and robotics firms — recruit heavily from TU/e. Mechanical-engineering starting salaries run €40k-€48k. Sri Lankan returnees route into manufacturing, automotive, robotics and consulting roles, and academia at Moratuwa and SLIIT.
