Course Overview
Sciences Po's Master in International Affairs (MIA) is the flagship policy degree at the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) — consistently ranked top-5 globally for international relations (Foreign Policy, QS). The two-year programme draws cohorts of 1,500+ students from 100+ countries, with seven concentrations: International Security, International Economic Policy, International Development, International Public Management, Diplomacy, Environmental Policy, and Human Rights & Humanitarian Action.
Sri Lankan applicants from law, political science, economics, journalism, or development backgrounds use it as a route into UN agencies, EU institutions, the World Bank, IMF, OECD, foreign ministries, NGOs (MSF, Oxfam, ICRC, Amnesty), and policy think tanks. Year 1 is core curriculum + concentration coursework; Year 2 offers electives, a mandatory internship or research project, and dual degree options with LSE, Columbia SIPA, Princeton SPIA, FU Berlin, and Peking University. Teaching is entirely in English on the MIA track.
