MSc Engineering Management
University of Malta
Course Overview
University of Malta's MSc Engineering Management is delivered through the Faculty of Engineering and is designed for engineering graduates moving into project and operations leadership. The 90-ECTS programme runs over three semesters (18 months) and combines core engineering management with business and operational modules. Core content covers project management (PMBOK-aligned), operations and supply chain management, engineering economics, lean and Six Sigma, contract law, organisational behaviour for engineers, and a substantial dissertation often anchored in a Maltese industry partner.
Sri Lankan applicants from engineering Bachelor's backgrounds (Moratuwa, Peradeniya, Ruhuna, Jaffna, KDU, OUSL, SLIIT, NSBM, NIBM, Sri Lankan Institute of Engineering Sciences) who already have 1-3 years' site / production / project experience treat this MSc as a route into Chartered Engineer (CEng) progression and senior technical-management roles. Returnees route into Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Senior Engineer roles at CECB, Maga Engineering, Sanken Construction, Access Engineering, ICC, MAS Holdings, Brandix, Hayleys, John Keells Engineering, and EPC arms of the major conglomerates. Combine with PMP / Prince2 / CIOB certifications for accelerated career progression.
