MSc Computer Science — Cyber Security track
TU Delft
Course Overview
TU Delft's MSc in Computer Science (Cyber Security track) is a 2-year, 120 ECTS, English-taught Master's at one of Europe's top engineering universities (#5 in the world for Engineering & Technology, QS 2026). The Cyber Security track is jointly run with Leiden University and TU Eindhoven under the Dutch National Cyber Security 4TU consortium. Core modules cover applied cryptography, network and system security, hardware security, formal verification, and security economics; the thesis year is typically done at TNO, ASML, ING, or one of TU Delft's NWO-funded research labs.
Sri Lankan demand for TU Delft is rising as students discover the combination: world-top engineering brand, English-medium instruction across 90+ Master's, EU tuition of ~€22,000/yr (less than half of UK or US equivalents), and the Dutch 'Orientation Year' visa giving 12 months post-graduation to find skilled employment. Cyber roles in the Netherlands routinely sponsor the EU Blue Card — a 5-year route to Dutch permanent residency.
