Course Overview
Yonsei's MEng in Civil & Environmental Engineering is a 2-year program covering structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, water resources, and environmental systems. Research groups work directly with Korean construction giants — Hyundai E&C, Samsung C&T, Daewoo E&C, GS E&C — on flagship infrastructure projects across Asia and the Middle East.
For Sri Lankan civil engineering graduates, this program offers exposure to seismic design, smart-city infrastructure, and large-scale tunnelling that has limited equivalent training in South Asia. The English-track allows international students to complete coursework and thesis without Korean language proficiency, and faculty actively place graduates into Korean EPC firms operating regionally.
Entry Requirements
Academic

Major employers include Hyundai E&C, Samsung C&T, Daewoo E&C, GS E&C, and Korea Expressway Corporation — many recruit specifically for overseas projects (Middle East, South-East Asia), making this an unusually international career path. Base salaries for fresh MEng graduates typically run KRW 50–65 million.
