Master of Nursing
National University of Singapore
Course Overview
The National University of Singapore is Asia's top-ranked university (QS top 10 globally) and its Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, within the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, is the region's leading academic nursing centre. The Master of Nursing prepares registered nurses for advanced practice (the Advanced Practice Nurse / nurse-practitioner track) with deep clinical, leadership and evidence-based-practice training. For Sri Lankan registered nurses and BSc Nursing graduates, NUS offers a globally recognised advanced-practice qualification close to home, in a healthcare system that actively recruits skilled nurses.
The two-year programme combines advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology and clinical specialisation with supervised clinical practicum and a scholarly project. Singapore's world-class hospital system (NUH, SGH, the National University Health System) provides clinical placements. NUS's strength in advanced nursing practice makes it a credible base for senior clinical, education and leadership roles. Note: practising as a nurse in Singapore requires registration with the Singapore Nursing Board, and Sri Lankan registration / recognition rules apply on return — the degree supports but does not replace these.
