Course Overview

The NUS Master of Clinical Pharmacy is a one-year, English-taught programme for registered pharmacists who want to advance into patient-facing clinical practice — optimising drug therapy, managing complex cases on the ward, and working as part of the hospital care team. Sri Lankan pharmacy graduates from the University of Colombo, Peradeniya, Sabaragamuwa and other accredited B.Pharm programmes use it to deepen clinical expertise and strengthen their profile for senior hospital roles.

The curriculum combines pharmacotherapy, clinical pharmacokinetics, evidence-based therapeutics and supervised clinical placements in Singapore's teaching hospitals, with a research project. NUS is consistently ranked among the world's top schools for pharmacy and pharmacology, giving students access to leading clinicians and modern hospital systems.

Note that clinical-pharmacist practice in any country requires registration with that country's pharmacy authority. This degree builds advanced clinical competence; it does not by itself grant registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council's pharmacy register or the Singapore Pharmacy Council — local registration steps still apply.
