Course Overview

MCI's Master of Arts in Business in International Health & Social Management is a full-time, English-taught, 120-ECTS programme that combines health and social services with economics, political science and international management. The curriculum is research-heavy (around 38% research methods), with management, health economics and multidisciplinary policy work making up most of the rest, and classes run Monday to Friday. An optional double degree with the Prague University of Economics and Business adds a second European credential. The goal is to prepare managers and analysts for the global health sector rather than clinicians.

The programme is a strong fit for Sri Lankan doctors, nurses, pharmacists, public-health and management graduates who want to move into hospital administration, health policy or international development. Sri Lanka's health system is widely studied for its low-cost, high-outcome model, and graduates who understand European health financing and social-insurance systems are valuable both to private hospital groups at home and to international agencies. MCI's merit scholarships can reduce the private-university tuition considerably, and Austria's 12-month job-seeker residence permit gives time to find work in the EU.
