LLM International Law
University of Geneva
Course Overview
The University of Geneva's LLM in International Law is taught from the world capital of international law and diplomacy — home to the UN Office at Geneva, the WTO, the WHO, the ICRC, the Human Rights Council, and dozens of international organisations. The one-year English-taught LLM offers specialisation across public international law, international humanitarian and human-rights law, international economic and trade law, and dispute settlement, with teaching by leading scholars and practitioners and unrivalled access to Geneva's international-law community.
Sri Lankan applicants — law graduates and practitioners aiming at international careers — choose Geneva for: its standing at the centre of global governance, English-medium delivery, remarkably low Swiss public-university tuition (CHF ~810/semester), and Switzerland's 6-month post-study job-search permit. The LLM suits those targeting careers in international organisations, NGOs, foreign service, international arbitration, and academia, and is a recognised pathway into the UN and humanitarian-law sector.
