Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design Art
Nanyang Technological University (School of Art, Design and Media)
Course Overview
Nanyang Technological University is ranked among the world's top 30 universities (QS), and its School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) is Singapore's leading professional art-and-design school, housed in an iconic green-roofed building on the NTU campus. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design Art is a four-year studio degree that lets students specialise across visual communication, product and industrial design, interaction design, and animation and media art.
ADM's teaching is studio- and project-based, with industry briefs, internships, and access to advanced fabrication, media, and prototyping facilities. Students build a professional portfolio across the degree and benefit from Singapore's position as a regional design and creative-industries hub, where global brands, agencies, and tech companies run their Asia-Pacific design operations.
For Sri Lankan creative students, NUS- and NTU-level design education close to home, taught in English, at a globally top-30 university is a rare combination. Singapore's MOE Tuition Grant can substantially reduce fees in exchange for a post-study work commitment, and the city's creative, product, and UX-design job market — plus post-study work passes — give graduates a genuine path into Asia's design economy.
