Course Overview
NUS Business School is consistently ranked #1 in Asia and top-25 globally for business programmes (QS, FT, US News). The BBA is a 4-year, 160-credit degree run from the Mochtar Riady Building on the Kent Ridge campus. Students complete a common business core in years 1-2, then specialise across one or two of: accounting, finance, marketing, business analytics, leadership & human capital management, innovation & entrepreneurship, operations & supply chain, real estate, or strategy. Two semester-long internships are built in via the NOC (NUS Overseas Colleges) programme — Sri Lankan students have recently placed at Goldman Sachs Singapore, Citi, JP Morgan, BCG, McKinsey, Stripe APAC, and Sequoia India SEA.
Sri Lankan demand for the NUS BBA is extreme — acceptance rates are around 7%. The MOE Tuition Grant drops effective tuition to ~SGD 22,300/yr with a 3-year service bond fulfilled at any Singapore-registered company. NUS BBA grads dominate front-office finance hiring at the Singapore-based regional offices of Goldman, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, BlackRock, Citi, and Asian banking groups (DBS, OCBC, UOB).
Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle Sri Lankan Cambridge / Edexcel A Levels: A*AA-AAA (any 3 A Levels accepted, Maths preferred but not required).
- check_circle IB Diploma: 40+ points typical; HL Maths preferred.
- check_circle Sri Lankan GCE A/L: 3 As (Commerce or Science streams); competitive z-score 2.0+.
- check_circle Diagnostic test or NUS interview may apply.
- check_circle Two referee statements; CV highlighting leadership / extracurriculars / internships.
English Proficiency
- check_circle Cambridge / Edexcel A Level English (Use of English / General Paper) at pass — accepted directly.
- check_circle IELTS Academic: 6.5 Overall (no band below 6.0).
- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 92-93 Overall.
- check_circle Waived if your secondary qualification was completed in English (most Sri Lankan applicants from Edexcel/Cambridge International streams qualify).

Career Outcomes & PR
Eligible to apply for Singapore Employment Pass on graduation (MOM minimum salary threshold SGD 5,600/month for fresh graduates in finance/consulting). NUS BBA grads dominate Goldman Singapore, Citi, JP Morgan, BCG, McKinsey, Bain. Median starting salary: SGD 5,400/month (SGD 65,000/yr) with sign-on bonuses common.
